Blind faith and baby wipes.

My husband and I are talking about selling our home and buying a place in the country to let the kids roam and have some animals which will require them to learn more responsibility. We have talked to a Realtor and she told us some things we needed to do to prepare for this leap of faith. We really feel God asking us to step forward. To walk through into the dark. We don’t have another house lined up. We don’t have a place to go. We feel like this is what He is asking so we are listening.  (We can always find and apartment or something like that.:))

As we looked around our current home, we saw the places where the children’s hands and ours touched most. Light switches, walls near their bedrooms, places where they just rubbed the hand while they walked. We were bummed because it would require A LOT of painting.  I have heard about certain solutions that you can used to clean flat paint but we had none those options.  So I grabbed a package of baby wipes and started to clean one area that was the worst.  The wall looked freshly painted!  I could not believe it!  I used half of a package of wipes just touching up the walls and even spots that had been there since we moved in, came clean!  It was cool!  I didn’t have to go buy anything or find something on-line or even paint. Those baby wipes saved the day. It even got the coffee stains off of the ceiling where Angel, our English Springer Spaniel, pushed a coffee cup off of the rail upstairs. The coffee dripped and splattered on walls and ceiling as it fell to the floor below so she could drink it at the bottom of the stairs. (She likes her coffee with cream and sugar.)

So here we have something so simple that saved us hours of work and it was just a gift from God.  🙂 I like that! God does care about the big and little things in our lives. Even dirty walls.

Lord I pray that today we would allow You to clean the “walls” of our lives with your “heavenly baby wipes”. Help us to keep focused on You so that we can hear You when You speak. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen!

Isaiah 1:18 NIV “Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. http://bible.cc/isaiah/1-18.htm
